DCM Autocentres Proudly Sponsors Pimperne United Youth Girls Club

This is a really proud moment for everyone at DCM Autocentres.

A few months ago, members of our team from the Shaftesbury and Blandford branches came together for a community volunteering day at Pimperne Football Club. The aim was simple: help refresh the facilities and get the clubhouse ready for local players, families and visitors.

The team spent the day weeding, sweeping, cleaning windows, cutting hedges and generally getting stuck in wherever help was needed. It was a brilliant day, and one that really reminded us why local community projects matter so much.

We enjoyed being part of that project so much that we wanted to keep the momentum going.

That is why we are thrilled to announce that DCM Autocentres is now officially sponsoring the Pimperne United Youth Girls Club.

Supporting grassroots sport in Dorset

Grassroots sports clubs play such an important role in local communities. They give young people a place to learn, grow, make friends, build confidence and enjoy being part of a team.

For young female athletes in particular, having access to supportive local clubs is so important. Football can help develop confidence, discipline, resilience and teamwork, but most importantly, it gives players a space to enjoy themselves and feel encouraged.

That is something we are really proud to support.

Pimperne United Youth Girls Club is doing fantastic work, and we are delighted to be playing a small part in helping the team continue to grow.

From volunteering to sponsorship

Our sponsorship follows on naturally from the community day we held at Pimperne Football Club earlier this year.

At the time, it was part of our wider 2026 community initiative, where our management team committed to giving one day each month to local causes and good projects. That initiative was never meant to be a one-off gesture. It was about finding real ways to support the people, organisations and spaces that help make our local area what it is.

Helping at Pimperne Football Club was one of those days that stayed with us.

Seeing the difference a few extra pairs of hands could make, and seeing how much care goes into running a local club, made us want to continue that relationship in a more lasting way.

Sponsoring the girls’ club felt like the perfect next step.

A team effort on and off the pitch

At DCM, we talk a lot about teamwork inside the business. Whether it is in the workshop, at reception, out in the mobile tyre fitting van or across our different branches, good teamwork is what keeps everything moving.

That is one of the reasons grassroots football feels like such a natural fit for us.

The values are very similar. Hard work, support, communication, commitment and showing up for each other all matter, whether you are on the pitch or in the garage.

We are proud to support a club that encourages those values in young players and helps create positive experiences for families in the local community.

Continuing our commitment to the local community

As DCM Autocentres continues to grow, with branches serving Shaftesbury, Blandford and beyond, staying connected to the local community remains incredibly important to us.

Growth is exciting, but it only means something if we continue to support the areas that have supported us.

That is why our community initiative matters so much. From volunteering days to supporting local clubs and helping during difficult weather conditions, we want to do more than simply operate as a local business. We want to contribute where we can.
